Major Changes in Key Districts
One of the notable changes is the appointment of Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh as SSP Malerkotla, replacing Gurmit Singh, who has been moved to the Commandant position at ISTC Kapurthala.
Similarly, Manpreet Singh has been elevated from SP Investigation, Sangrur, to SSP Pathankot, while former Pathankot SSP Daljinder Singh Dhillon moves to the CID's Jalandhar zone.
In Jalandhar, Rajeshwar Singh has been posted as Commandant of the 7th Battalion PAP, while the order also changes the assignment of the officer who was under transfer as DCP Investigation, Jalandhar.
Changes in Amritsar and SAS Nagar
The reshuffle also affects important policing positions in Amritsar and SAS Nagar.
Parvinder Kaur has been posted as ADCP Special Branch, Amritsar, while another officer serving as ADCP Special Branch, Amritsar, has been moved to the AIG CID, Amritsar position.
In SAS Nagar, Talwinder Singh Gill has been assigned to the Intelligence Wing, while Ramandeep Singh has been posted as SP Traffic, SAS Nagar. Navneet Kaur Gill has been moved to SP Special Branch, Hoshiarpur.
Officers Asked to Join Immediately
The government has directed all officers covered by the order to join their respective new places of posting immediately.
The latest reshuffle is part of the Punjab Police's continuing administrative restructuring and comes amid a wider set of police transfers in the state. Reports indicate that separate orders have also covered senior IPS officers.
