Punjab Govt Announces ₹598.75 Lakh Action Plan to Strengthen Senior Citizen Welfare: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh, September 2, 2026: The Punjab Government has announced a ₹598.75 lakh State Action Plan aimed at strengthening welfare measures and support systems for senior citizens across the state, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said.

The initiative focuses on improving services for elderly citizens and ensuring that they receive greater support, protection and access to welfare programmes.
