In a shocking incident reported from Bengaluru, a man allegedly killed his 35-year-old wife by stepping on her neck. According to the reports, before brutally stomping the woman to death, accused also assaulted her. Peenya police station sources told NDTV that the accused, identified as Dhariyappa, allegedly got into an argument with his wife on Thursday. The matter was reportedly related to Rs 2 lakh that were kept as savings for household expenses.
Dhariyappa wanted to give that money to his brother and his wife objected to this. The argument escalated and the accused husband began assaulting his wife.
Police have arrested Dhariyappa on charges of murder and further investigation is underway.
Man Slits Wife’s Throat
In another shocking incident reported from Karnataka’s Kalaburagi last week, a husband killed his wife by slitting her throat in the middle of a road following a family dispute.
Videos of the incident, recorded by locals on mobile phones, have been widely circulated online, purportedly showing the accused, Akshay, attacking her in public.
The incident occurred near Ballurgi village in Afzalpur taluk of Kalaburagi district, police said.
According to police, the man allegedly brought his wife in a car, forced her to get down onto the road, and slit her throat.
