Chandigarh, September 5, 2026: Beneficiaries of Punjab’s Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana (MMSY) can now download their ₹10-lakh health cards online from home, making it easier for families to access an important document without visiting a service centre. The facility has been enabled by the State Health Agency (SHA), Punjab through its official portal.
The new digital facility is available after the beneficiary completes the required photograph verification and e-KYC process. Once verified, the health card can be viewed online, downloaded as a PDF, saved on a mobile phone or printed for future use.
How to Download the ₹10 Lakh Health Card
The process has been simplified into three steps.
1. Find Your Family Record
Beneficiaries can search for their family record using any of these details:
Family IDHealth Card NumberRegistered mobile numberAadhaar number2. Complete OTP Verification
After entering the details, the beneficiary needs to complete OTP-based authentication using the registered mobile number or Aadhaar-linked details.
3. Download the Card
Once authentication is successful, the verified health card can be viewed and downloaded in PDF format.
The digital copy can be stored on a smartphone, while beneficiaries can also take a printout for use when accessing eligible healthcare services.
e-KYC Is Mandatory
Beneficiaries should remember that simply downloading the card does not replace the verification process.
Photograph verification and e-KYC must be completed before the verified card becomes available for download. The digital process also allows beneficiaries to check updated photographs of family members before generating the card.
₹10 Lakh Cashless Healthcare Coverage
Under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana, eligible families receive cashless healthcare coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family annually.
The new online card facility is intended to make access to the scheme easier by reducing paperwork and eliminating the need for beneficiaries to visit a centre simply to obtain a copy of their card.
Keep the Card on Your Phone
Once downloaded, beneficiaries can keep a digital copy readily accessible.
The card can be:
Saved on a mobile phone → Printed for records → Shared with family members when required → Presented while accessing eligible healthcare services.
Use Only the Official Portal
Beneficiaries should access the facility only through the official State Health Agency Punjab portal and should never share their OTP with another person.
The official portal is:
sha.punjab.gov.in/shapunjab/
A Major Convenience for Punjab Families
The digital initiative is another step towards making government healthcare services more accessible. Families who have already completed the required verification can now keep their health card readily available without depending on a physical copy issued through a centre.
The move is particularly useful during medical emergencies, when quick access to identification and scheme documents can save time.
