Khan is the key figure in a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe led by the Nashik City Police in connection with the TCS sexual harassment case.
Nida Khan, an accused in the TCS Nashik sexual harassment case, was suspended on April 9.
Amid an ongoing probe into the workplace misconduct and sexual harassment allegations at the Nashik BPO unit of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the spotlight is on Nida Khan, 26, who is the alleged mastermind of forced religious conversion and harassment of employees.
Khan is the key figure in a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe led by the Nashik City Police in connection with the case that has rocked the IT industry and prompted calls for stronger safeguards against any form of workplace harassment and discrimination.
Nida Khan is one of the eight employees who have been accused of alleged rape, sexual harassment, religious coercion, and other kinds of harassment of their co-workers at TCS’s Nashik BPO. All employees have been suspended from their jobs, and Khan’s suspension letter emerged soon after she was named in the case.

“This is to inform you that the Company has been made aware of a serious matter reported against you, pursuant to which you are currently in judicial/police custody. Considering the seriousness of the matter as reported and that you are presently unable to discharge your official duties, the Company has decided to place you under suspension with immediate effect until further communication and decision in the matter by the Management,” the letter read.
The company also informed Khan that her access to the TCS network had been temporarily revoked and she was instructed to surrender any company assets in her possession. Khan was also instructed not to report to any company office, nor to discuss the subject of the case with any employee, or she will face disciplinary action.
Where Is Nida Khan Now?
While seven of the accused were arrested, the police claimed that Nida Khan is absconding. However, Khan’s father said she was not on the run and remains in her Mumbai home, where she is also expecting her first child.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Khan’s family also confirmed that she does not work for the BPO’s human resources team, as is being widely reported by television channels and on social media. Her designation is that of a tele-caller, and she is part of the sales team, the family stated.

Nida Khan reportedly graduated with a degree in commerce and is at present studying for an MBA degree through correspondence in addition to working. Her uncle said she moved to Mumbai in January this year to be with her husband after her marriage last year.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday assured strict action in the matter and central agencies have been activated to look into the matter. “It has come to our attention that this was done under a module. Fortunately, a company like TCS has played a very significant role in this. They will not shield anyone. TCS has played such a role, and the head of TCS has also strongly condemned this,” he said at a press conference.
