Kapurthala to Hold Air Raid & Blackout Mock Drill on November 27: Here’s What Residents Need to Know

Kapurthala, September 15, 2026: A Civil Defence Air Raid and Blackout Mock Exercise will be conducted across identified areas of Kapurthala district on November 27, 2026, at 8 PM, following guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The exercise is aimed at testing and strengthening the preparedness of the Civil Defence machinery, emergency services and other response agencies in dealing with potential emergency situations.

Two-Minute Air Raid Siren to Mark the Start

The mock drill will begin with a two-minute air raid warning siren.

Following the siren, a simulated blackout will be conducted in areas identified by the district administration. Residents in those areas will be advised to switch off all non-essential lights as part of the exercise.
