RECENT REPORTS OF MARITAL DISPUTE
Earlier this year, reports had surfaced regarding differences between Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav.
In January, Prateek had posted on Instagram announcing that he was seeking a divorce from Aparna, accusing her of damaging his family relationships and prioritising personal ambition.
In the post, he had also claimed that he was struggling with poor mental health and alleged that Aparna was unconcerned about his condition.
However, reports later suggested that tensions between the two had eased, with the couple sharing pictures together and indicating that matters had improved.
Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav got married in 2011 and have two children.
WHO WAS PRATEEK YADAV?
Unlike several members of the Yadav family, Prateek Yadav stayed away from active politics and never contested elections.
He was known as a real estate developer and fitness enthusiast and had business interests linked to property and fitness ventures in and around Lucknow.
An MBA graduate from Leeds University in the United Kingdom, Prateek was also associated with animal welfare initiatives.
Over the years, Aparna Yadav emerged as a prominent political figure.
She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2022 after previously contesting the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket from Lucknow Cantonment.
She currently serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission and is also associated with social welfare initiatives, including animal welfare and women’s empowerment programmes.
