TCS says Nida Khan is not HR or in recruitment, denies harassment complaints, hires Deloitte and Trilegal to probe, police hold 7 after nine FIRs and SIT undercover probe

Three more women likely to file FIRs in TCS Nashik case
In a case linked to an alleged “conversion and harassment network” at the Tata Consultancy Services, Nashik BPO, the company has now released an official statement confirming that Nida Khan, who allegedly is a key suspect in the case, is not an HR manager or involved in the company’s recruitment process.
Issuing an official statement, TCS said, “Ms Nida Khan, who is being repeatedly mentioned in the press as HR manager of TCS, is neither an HR manager nor responsible for recruitment. She served as a process associate and did not hold any leadership responsibilities.”
“Our unit in Nashik continues to operate and serve our clients. Reports in the press about the unit being shut down are absolutely untrue,” the statement said.
The company also denied receiving any complaints of sexual harassment. “While detailed reviews are still underway, a preliminary review of the systems and records pertaining to the Nashik unit indicates that we have not received any complaints of the nature that are being alleged on either our ethics or POSH channels,” TCS said.
The company also stated that it has engaged the services of expert teams from Deloitte and a prominent law firm Trilegal as independent counsel to investigate the case.
Investigation Underway
“We have engaged the services of expert teams from Deloitte and a prominent law firm Trilegal as independent counsel to the internal investigation led by Ms. Aarthi Subramanian, President and COO, TCS. We have constituted an Oversight committee chaired by Mr. Keki Mistry, Independent Director of TCS,” the statement said.
“The findings of the internal investigation will be presented to the Oversight committee, for review and implementation of any recommendations,” it added.
7 TCS Employees In Police Custody
Meanwhile, police have filed nine FIRs (8 by women and 1 by a male employee) under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The main accused in the case are Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Rafiq Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, and Asif Aftab Ansari.
At least 7 individuals are currently in custody. A 12-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by a woman deputy commissioner of police (DCP) is conducting the inquiry. The charges were substantiated by a 40-day undercover operation where female police officers posed as recruits inside the office.
