Assam Exit Poll 2026 Live Updates: Saffron Sweep In Assam, BJP Projected To Win Over 100 Seats

Assam Election Exit Poll Results 2026 Live Updates: With polling for the Assam Assembly elections concluded, all eyes are now on the results. The voting was held in a single phase on April 9 and the exit poll projections have been released. Meanwhile, the results are scheduled to be announced on May 4.

VoteVibe’s exit poll projections indicate a commanding lead for the BJP-led NDA, with the alliance likely to win between 90 and 100 seats—well past the halfway mark in the 126-member House. The Congress-led INDIA bloc is expected to lag with 23–33 seats, while the AIUDF may secure only 0–6 seats, reflecting a limited impact. Overall, the projections point to a clear and comfortable advantage for the BJP+, suggesting it is on track to retain power with ease.

The high-stakes contest for the 126-member Assam assembly took place on April 9, with most constituencies witnessing a direct fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- led NDA and a Congress-headed opposition alliance, Asom Sonmilito Morcha (ASM).

With polling held in a single phase, the state recorded 85.8 per cent voter turnout, the highest ever in the state. In recent elections, alliances led by the BJP and Congress have relied on strongholds in specific districts, supplemented by gains in swing regions.

While every constituency counts, electoral trends suggest that victory in Assam is often determined by performance in a strategic cluster of regions across Upper, Lower, and Central Assam.

The 2026 contest is expected to be shaped by a triangular dynamic, with regional forces like the Asom Gana Parishad and the All India United Democratic Front playing key roles in several constituencies. Follow for live updates.
