Eight devotees from Karnataka including five women and a minor were killed when a Bolero hit a concrete truck near Chilakaladona in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

A horrific road accident in Kurnool district in the early hours of Thursday claimed eight lives and left 13 others injured. The incident occurred near Chilakaladona in Mantralayam mandal when a Bolero vehicle collided with a ready-mix lorry.
Five people died on the spot, while three others succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Emmiganur. Among the deceased are five women and a young girl.
The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment.
The victims were devotees from Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka, who were on their way to Mantralayam for darshan of Sri Raghavendra Swamy when the accident occurred.
The deceased have been identified as Kumar (60), Deepika Veena (35), Sunil (40), Belli (3), Puttamma (60), Meenakshi (50), Tayamma (60), and Lolakshi.
Police rushed to the accident site and launched rescue operations.
CM Chandrababu Naidu Expresses Grief
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the incident and offered condolences to the grief-stricken families.
Moreover, State ministers Bharat and Janardhan Reddy expressed shock over the tragedy, and directed officials to ensure better medical care for the injured.
