Bengaluru was never a “skyscraper city.” For years, it grew wide, not tall, with tech parks, villas and mid-rise apartments shaping its landscape. But that’s starting to change.

Today, the city has crossed 100+ buildings above 100 metres, and new policy changes around floor area ratio (FAR) are likely to push heights even further in the coming years.

1. CNTC Presidential Tower, YeshwanthpurAt around 161 metres and 50 floors, this is currently Bengaluru’s tallest building. Completed recently, it marked a new benchmark for residential height in the city and signalled that Bengaluru is finally stepping into the high-rise league.

2. Mantri DSK Pinnacle, Bannerghatta RoadFor nearly a decade, this was the city’s tallest at 153 metres. Known for its luxury apartments and features like a helipad and sky lounge, it still stands as one of Bengaluru’s most recognisable residential towers.

3. SNN Clermont, HebbalA premium residential cluster rather than a single tower, SNN Clermont is known for combining height with greenery. Located in North Bengaluru, it reflects how new growth corridors are shaping the city’s skyline.

4. Pashmina Waterfront, KR PuramAt around 135 metres, this tower stands out for its location by the lake, offering rare open views in a dense city. It shows how developers are using height to combine both luxury and scenery.

5. World Trade Center, YeshwanthpurAt 128 metres, this remains Bengaluru’s tallest commercial tower. Unlike cities where residential towers dominate, Bengaluru’s skyline still leans heavily toward office spaces, and this building is a clear example of that.

6. UB Tower, CBD (Brigade Road)At around 120+ metres, UB Tower has been part of Bengaluru’s skyline for years. It’s one of those buildings people instantly recognise. With corporate offices and even a helipad, it reflects an earlier phase when the city’s growth upward was driven almost entirely by business, not residential living.

7. Concorde Tower, South BengaluruNot one of the tallest yet, but it gives you a sense of where the city is heading. High-rise living is slowly moving beyond central and north Bengaluru into newer neighbourhoods. Towers like this show that going vertical is no longer limited to a few pockets, it’s starting to spread across the city.

8. Kingfisher Towers, UB City areaThis one is less about height and more about the address. Known as one of the city’s most exclusive residential spots, and linked to Vijay Mallya, it’s all about privacy and location. It reflects how Bengaluru’s luxury market has traditionally cared more about where you live than how high you live.

9. Prestige Trade Tower, RajajinagarAnother strong addition to the city’s business skyline, this tower shows that demand for premium office space isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Even as residential buildings grow taller, Bengaluru still feels like a city built around work, and towers like this make that pretty clear.

10. Sobha Indraprastha / upcoming Sobha World City towersWhat’s interesting here is not just what’s already built, but what’s coming next. While current projects are mid-rise, upcoming Sobha towers are expected to go significantly higher. It’s a sign that Bengaluru’s skyline is still evolving, and the tallest buildings may not have been built yet.

The bigger picture is clear. Bengaluru isn’t trying to compete with Mumbai’s skyscrapers, at least not yet. But with new regulations, rising land costs and expanding metro corridors, the city is slowly but surely growing upward.
