This unique archery-based lottery is organised by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA) with the aim of preserving traditional archery while offering participants a chance to win substantial cash prizes.
In addition to the Shillong Teer lottery, various other archery-based lotteries are conducted across Meghalaya, including Shillong Morning Teer, Juwai Teer, Jowai Ladrymbai Teer, Khanapara Teer, and Night Teer.

How to Play Shillong Teer Lottery
The Shillong Teer lottery consists of two short rounds, each lasting for two minutes:
- First Round: 30 arrows are shot by skilled archers.
- Second Round: 20 arrows are shot.
Participants place their bets by guessing the total number of arrows that will hit the target. They choose a number between 0 and 99. After each round, the winning number is declared.
Tickets can be purchased from licensed counters at denominations of Rs1, Rs5, Rs10, Rs20, and Rs50.
Prize Structure for Shillong Teer
The prize money in the Shillong Teer lottery depends on the number of bets placed and the accuracy of the player’s prediction:
- A Rs1 bet with a correct guess in the first round can win Rs80.
- A Rs1 bet with a correct guess in the second round can win Rs60.
- If a player correctly predicts the outcome of both rounds with Rs1 bets, the total winnings can go up to Rs4,000.
