A man from Karnataka allegedly cut off his own leg with a knife after getting heavily drunk in a forest — driven to the extreme act by the distress of his wife leaving him for another man. He was found by shepherds and rushed to hospital. Police are now investigating the incident.

How Was He Rescued?
Shepherds grazing their livestock in the area spotted him and raised an alarm. Locals rushed to help and he was quickly shifted to the nearest government hospital for emergency treatment. His condition is being monitored.
