A dramatic scene unfolded near the southern gate of Muzaffarpur Junction on Wednesday when a young man climbed a mobile tower nearly 300 feet high, demanding that his girlfriend be brought to meet him.

The individual, identified as Anish Kumar, remained perched on the tower for several hours, drawing a large crowd of onlookers and causing a stir in the area. People gathered around the spot, watching anxiously as the situation developed.

According to reports, Anish had recently returned to his hometown from Pune, where he had been working in a tile shop. He had come back about a month ago. On Tuesday evening, he was supposed to leave for Pune again, but instead of resuming his journey, he chose to scale the mobile tower the following morning.

His unexpected act turned into a public spectacle, with the crowd closely following the emotional drama centred around his demand to see his girlfriend.

A dramatic scene unfolded in Kachhiyani Khera village under the Tilhar police station area on Monday when a young man, allegedly in one-sided love with his maternal cousin, climbed a mobile tower demanding permission to marry her.

According to a report by PTI, 23-year-old Raju Pal scaled the tower and threatened to jump if he was not allowed to marry the woman, claiming he had been in love with her for the past eight years. The incident quickly drew a large crowd from the surrounding area, turning the mobile tower into the centre of an hours-long spectacle.

The spectacle unfolded in Kachhiyani Khera village under the Tilhar police station area on Monday, drawing a large crowd.

Pal, who claimed to be in love with the woman for the last eight years, threatened to jump from the tower if he was not allowed to marry her, police said on Tuesday.

Police personnel rushed to the spot, engaged him in conversation and eventually managed to bring him down safely. He was then taken into custody and sent for counselling, officers said on Tuesday.

The woman’s stance on the matter was not immediately known, but police indicated that Pal was “not ready to take no for an answer”, prompting his extreme step. Authorities are now focusing on counselling him and ensuring that no further disturbance is caused in the village.
