In a post on X after landing in Amsterdam, PM Modi said the visit comes at a time when the India-EU free trade agreement has given a “significant boost” to trade and investment relations between the two sides.
“Landed in Amsterdam. This visit to the Netherlands is taking place at a time when the free trade agreement between India and the EU has given a significant boost to trade and investment relations. It offers the opportunity to strengthen ties in areas such as semiconductors, water, clean energy, and more,” the Prime Minister posted.
During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten. He will also meet Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
The Prime Minister said he also looks forward to addressing the Indian community during an event scheduled for the morning of May 16.
