Delhi-based Defence entrepreneur Sahil Luthra on Saturday filed a complaint stating that he received a death threat on April 24.

According to the complaint, Luthra received the death threat via a voice note. The threat is alleged to have been issued by an international extortion network.

This is the second time Sahil Luthra has received such threats.

In February 27, a complaint was filed at the Chanakyapuri police station stating that he received two calls on February 26 from international numbers originating in Portugal and Germany. The callers allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing that occurred at his Amritsar residence on the intervening night of November 29–30 last year and warned of further action.

The callers allegedly told Luthra that he would be targeted in the future and indicated awareness of the security cover provided to him, asserting that it would not prevent an attack.

Luthra is the Managing Director of Vijayen Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS), a defence manufacturing firm. According to the complaint, he has been receiving threats since October 2024, around the time the company announced expansion plans in Punjab. In May 2025, the company reportedly faced attempted cyber intrusions targeting official email accounts and social media handles.

Luthra, in his latest complaint, said he received a serious death threat via a voice note by an international extortion network. Following this, the complaint was referred to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police. The Special Cell has registered a case and initiated an investigation.
