Tamil Nadu Election 2026: Like in his films, where he often stays two steps ahead of the villain, Vijay appears to be bringing the same instinct into politics. Though new to the political arena, the “Thalapathy” seems keen to stay ahead of the game.

With speculation mounting over a possible hung verdict in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is already preparing for a post-result scenario. According to a report by The New Indian Express, the party has made arrangements to move its winning MLAs to a resort near Chennai.

Sources told the publication that Vijay has instructed party functionaries to book a resort in Poonjeri, near Mamallapuram, to house the victorious candidates, a move seen as a precaution to prevent poaching in the event of a fractured mandate.

Exit poll projection by Axis My India has predicted that TVK may emerge as the single largest party, winning 80-120 seats in 234-member Tamil Nadu assembly.
