Woman, 35, found strangled with head injury in bed box at Mangol Puri PG, police arrest her partner as prime suspect, FIR registered under BNS.

A 35-year-old woman living in a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Delhi’s Mangolpuri was found dead under suspicious circumstances, with strangulation marks and a head injury, after her body was discovered stuffed inside a double bed box.
According to police, a PCR call was received on April 7, 2026 at Mangolpuri police station regarding a woman’s body found in a bed box at Patthar Market. A team from Mangolpuri rushed to the spot and found that a PG was being run on the 3rd floor of the building by Amarjeet, 31, son of Bhola Sahu, resident of A-165, Patthar Market.
Inside one of the rooms, police discovered the body of a woman, bearing clear strangulation marks and an injury on her forehead, stuffed inside the storage compartment of a double bed. The crime scene was examined by the Crime Team and the FSL Team, and forensic exhibits were collected from the spot.

The deceased has been identified as a 35-year-old resident of Mangolpuri. Initial enquiry revealed that she was in a relationship with a man who is now the prime suspect. On 7 April 2026, the woman and the accused reportedly met at the PG around 4:30 PM and stayed together in a room for about an hour.
After the accused left the premises, the PG owner noticed something amiss and alerted the police, leading to the discovery of the body.
Based on the findings, an FIR (No. 234/2026 dated 8.4.2026) has been registered under sections 103(1)/238(a)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at PS Mangolpuri . The main accused has been arrested, and police are investigating whether any other person was involved in the commission of the crime.
