The Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised Indian nationals still in the country to remain where they are and stay indoors, as a deadline set by US President Donald Trump for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz — or face an escalation in the conflict — approaches.
The advisory also urged Indians to avoid power grids, military installations and the upper floors of multi-storey buildings.
“Indian nationals who are still in Iran must stay where they are for the next 48 hours, avoiding all electric and military installations and upper floors of multi-storey buildings, remaining indoors, and coordinating any highway movement strictly with the Embassy,” it said.
Tensions in West Asia continue to escalate following the US-Israel strikes on Iran since February 28.
