Bollywood singer Mohit Chauhan and Punjabi singer Bhupinder Babbal enthralled students at the closing of the four-day annual techno-cultural fest ‘Utkansh’26’ at Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) on Sunday. The vibrant celebrations were marked by enthusiasm, creativity and large-scale participation of students from across the country.

The final-day events infused the campus with energy, with students participating enthusiastically. The Dramatics Club delivered an emotional performance of ‘Rangmanch’. Bhangra fiesta featured energetic performances that captivated the audience. In the technical competition Machine Wars, participants showcased their engineering skills through robots, which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The main highlight of the entire fest was the star night performance by renowned singer Mohit Chauhan, who captivated the audience with his soulful voice and mesmerising stage presence. He made everyone sway to his song ‘Tumse hi’ from Kareena Kapoor-starrer ‘Jab We Met’. His performance drew overwhelming applause and created an unforgettable musical atmosphere on campus. The evening was further elevated by a special appearance of singer Bhupinder Babbal. As he sung his popular number ‘Arjan Vailey’, Chauhan could be seen enjoying and doing bhangra steps.

The event was graced by the presence of director Prof Binod Kumar Kanaujia, registrar Prof Ajay Bansal and Prof Anish Sachdeva (Dean Student Welfare), along with other dignitaries.

Director Prof Kanaujia appreciated the talent and organisational capabilities of the students, while registrar Prof Ajay Bansal congratulated the organising team and volunteers for the execution of the event. The Utkansh’26 was largely driven by the dedicated efforts of student coordinators and volunteers, whose teamwork and commitment ensured the smooth conduct of all events.
